Had to park across the street and take the shuttle because there were so many people. If you want to see how much interest in this place, should have gone to their wedding expo this past February. Once you tour it, you probably will want to have your wedding there. Some brides were kind of put off by this, but really it’s just a result of them being so popular. I have heard from a few people that one thing Aria is doing is giving you tours and then when you sit down and look at dates, they push Day options, Friday and Thursday options (since they have very few Saturday nights open). I believe they said they are doing 2016 dates and even a few 2017 dates now, so if you have any desire to get married in 2015, you really need to get over there soon. 2014 summer (day and night, fri/sat) was booked 100% by November 2013.
ARIA PROSPECT CT FULL
I booked my wedding at Aria a few months ago and 2015 summer Saturday nights were almost to the point of full (there are only 15 or so weeks in the summer – so not much to choose from). It is THE PLACE to have your wedding the next couple of years because it’s so new and it really is pretty amazing inside and the food is probably the best in CT (everyone knows the food – just say it’s the old Ponte Club food). The main problem with Aria is everyone wants their wedding there. Thursday nights are like $90 pp? I did the whole Connecticut wedding venue tour when I was looking to book and I would say prices at Aria were generally in-line with places like Candlewood Inn, etc, even though I think Aria is much much nicer inside than Candlewood. The price is lower for Friday nights and Sunday days – I want to say around $110 or so. They have doezens of additional items such as Ventian Table, different stations, and that is anywhere from $6-$12 pp. Doesn’t include centerpieces, chair covers. This does include everything (open bar, cocktail hour, cake, etc.). For a Saturday night summer wedding, you are looking around $135 pp including tax and service. The big ballroom has the better view, althought the small ballroom does indeed have nice landscaping. Any more people and you need to use the bigger ballroom. I believe the small one has a range of 75-200 people. There are two ball rooms – big and small one. I’m getting married there so let me give you some general information since when I was in your shoes I didn’t find any info online. It was a wonderful wedding celebration at Aria.Hi. Next came their beautiful wedding reception with 4 wonderful toasts, parent dances a bouquet toss and lots of fun on the dance floor. In October, daylight fades early so I worked fast to get the remaining portraits of the bridesmaids, family portraits and portraits of Jess and Ricky outside with the setting sun and autumn colors before finishing up their portraits inside where it was warmer. It was a cool October day but everyone toughed it out for what made a beautiful ceremony with the reading of personal vows and a sand ceremony as well. After shooting the portraits with the guys next Jess and her bridesmaids arrived and made their way to the bridal suite for their getting ready shots. It also allows for the wedding party to better participate in the cocktail hour. Taking portraits before the ceremony also allows a lot of portraits to be taken in a relaxed situation without having all the portraits squeezed into the cocktail hour. The guys showed up early before the girls arrived so I could get a lot of great shots of Ricky and his groomsmen while we had good daylight. Their wedding day started off with portraits of the guys on the grounds around Aria. Combine that with a couple that has an enthusiasm to have their wedding photographed and you have a recipe for an amazing wedding day.
